How to get more AI credits
Run out of AI credits, or want more headroom? There are 3 ways to get more: switch to yearly billing, upgrade to a higher plan, or add extra admin seats. This article covers each one, and when to choose which.

Looking for add-on credit packs? Coursebox doesn’t sell one-off credit packs, so you won’t see them in the Upgrade window. Switching to yearly billing is the fastest way to get a large balance straight away.
On an earlier plan? Plan names and inclusions changed when we moved to Free, Creator, Pro, Pro + LMS and Enterprise. If you are on an earlier plan such as Plus, Business or standalone LMS, your subscription and its credit allowance continue unchanged.
First, check what you have left
Click the dropdown (▼) next to your profile icon and select Settings, then click Account and scroll to My Credits. You’ll see how much of each monthly allowance you’ve used. Full detail: How do I check my AI credits and usage balance?
Option 1: Switch from monthly to yearly billing
The best option if you’re on a monthly plan and need more credits now.
On yearly billing you receive 12 months of AI credits up front, available from day 1 to use across the year however you like. That’s 12 times your monthly allowance in one balance, so you can finish a big build straight away instead of waiting for next month’s refresh.
To switch:
Click the Upgrade button on the right side of the top bar. It appears on any screen inside your account.
Choose the Yearly option.
Select your current plan (or a higher one) and follow the prompts to checkout.
You keep all the features of your plan. Only the billing period and the timing of your credits change.
Option 2: Upgrade to a higher plan
The best option if you regularly run out of credits every month.
Creator to Pro takes you from 500 to 7,000 AI page credits a month, and also unlocks your own branding, LTI, SCORM import and Self-Hosted SCORM. You don’t have to use the branding features if you only need the credits.
Combine both: upgrading to Pro on yearly billing gives you 12 months of Pro credits up front.
Pro to Pro + LMS does not add credits. Both plans share the same allowance. Upgrade to Pro + LMS for the branded LMS (your own domain, learner and group management, pathways and gamification), not for more credits.
Upgrade the same way: click Upgrade in the top bar and select the plan you want.

Option 3: Add extra admin seats
The best option if several people build courses on Pro or Pro + LMS.
Every paid plan includes one admin seat. On Pro and Pro + LMS, each extra admin seat adds a full AI credit allowance to your account, so two admin seats on Pro means 14,000 AI page credits a month instead of 7,000. Add seats at checkout or at any time from Payments in your profile menu. For how seats work, see Coursebox Plans Compared.
