Coursebox Plans Compared
Coursebox offers five plans, each designed for a different stage of course creation, from trying things out for the first time to running a fully branded learning platform across a large organisation. This article covers what each plan includes, which plan unlocks which feature, and the plan names people ask about that are not actually plans.

On an earlier plan? Plan names and inclusions changed when we moved to Free, Creator, Pro, Pro + LMS and Enterprise. If you are on an earlier plan such as Plus, Business or standalone LMS, your subscription continues unchanged and you keep everything it included — so you may still have features this article lists under a higher plan. Four of the five plans are self-serve. Free, Creator, Pro and Pro + LMS are bought online by credit card under our standard published terms, with no contract and no setup fee, and you can cancel any time. Enterprise is different: it is sold only under a signed agreement with a minimum 2-year initial term. If your organisation requires a signed agreement, an MSA, a DPA, an SLA, a vendor security assessment or procurement support of any kind, that is an Enterprise conversation. The plans at a glance
Coursebox has five plans: Free, Creator, Pro, Pro + LMS and Enterprise. Nothing else is a current plan.
Free: try the full course builder, no card needed
Creator: individuals building and selling their own courses
Pro: creators who need their own branding, plus self-hosted SCORM and LTI
Pro + LMS: teams building and running a fully branded learning platform
Enterprise: organisations with security, scale and compliance requirements
Unlimited learners are included on every plan, including Free. There are no seat-based fees for learners.

Data is hosted in France by default. Custom hosting locations are available on Enterprise.
AI credit allowances
Every plan includes a set allowance of AI credits. Free receives a one-off starter allocation that does not renew; paid plans renew each month, or each year on annual billing.

On yearly billing you receive twelve times the monthly figure — for example 6,000 AI page credits a year on Creator, and 84,000 on Pro and Pro + LMS. Creator's yearly allowance is roughly enough for 120 courses a year. Enterprise AI capacity is sized to your rollout.
Pro and Pro + LMS share the same AI credit allowance. The difference between them is not credits — it is the branded LMS: your own domain, learner and group management, pathways, gamification, the resource library and calendar, announcements and questions, and advanced reporting.

Need your own domain, learner management, groups, pathways or gamification? Pro + LMS.
Need SSO, multiple portals, an uptime SLA, a chosen hosting region, or a migration? Enterprise.
Does your procurement or IT team require a signed agreement or a security questionnaire? Enterprise. This is the only plan that supports it.

Learners
There is no maximum number of learners that can be assigned to a course on Coursebox. All plans support unlimited learners, and learners never count as admins.
Admin seats
Every paid plan includes one admin seat. Any user who can create or edit courses, or manage grades, counts as an admin — learners do not.
If you need more, you can add admin seats at checkout or at any time from Payments, without changing your plan. Every additional seat also adds a full AI credit allowance to your account, so a second admin doubles your credits as well as your capacity to have two people building courses. On Enterprise, admin seats are agreed as part of your contract.

Add-ons are not plans
These are optional extras bought on top of a plan. They are never a plan in their own right:
Extra admin seats — available on any paid plan, and each one adds a full AI credit allowance.
API access — an add-on on Pro + LMS, included on Enterprise.
Branded mobile app — available on Pro + LMS and Enterprise.
Single sign-on (SSO) — a paid add-on on Enterprise only. It cannot be added to a self-serve plan.
Custom AI video avatars — upload a person's photo as your video avatar instead of choosing from the 500+ standard avatars. Available from Pro.

Plan names that do not exist
If you have been quoted, or have read about, a Coursebox plan with a name that is not one of the five above, it is either an old name we no longer sell, an add-on, or a name that has never existed at Coursebox. Here are the ones people ask about most.

Check your invoice or the Manage Account screen for the exact wording, then match it against the legacy table above. If it still does not match anything here, email support@coursebox.ai with the name and where you saw it, and we will tell you which current plan it corresponds to.
It helps to tell us what you are trying to do — how many people will be creating and managing courses, whether you need your own branded platform, and roughly how many learners — so we can point you to the right plan rather than just the closest name.
