Yes. With AI Quiz Writer, you can auto-generate assessments tailored to your course content. Just describe the topic, and the system will create questions or written prompts. You can set pass grades, allow retries, and use rubrics for marking.

In this section, you'll learn how to create a quiz, add quiz questions, set a pass mark, configure quiz settings, and add different question types including multiple choice, short answer, and drag and drop. 🆕 New in 2.0: Short answer quiz grading has been significantly improved with structured AI criteria and clearer learner feedback. The AI now uses more precise evaluation criteria to assess written responses, resulting in more accurate and consistent marking.

Click the + button on the page to open the content picker. Select the ASSESSMENTS tab, then select Quiz.

Create a Quiz with AI

• Use the slider to choose whether the quiz is generated using the course content.

• Select the number of quiz questions and click Generate Questions.

• Adjust your desired pass settings, enable correct answers, quiz reset, and set quiz visibility.

Generate more questions (AI Quiz Writer)

Once a quiz has been created, you can use the AI Quiz Writer to generate additional questions at any time. This is useful when you want to expand an existing quiz or generate questions from a different angle.

• Open the quiz in the course editor and click the AI Quiz Writer button in the top-right corner of the Quiz Editor panel.

• The Generate New Quiz Questions With AI panel will appear. At the top, you will see the Use Course Content toggle.

• Toggle Use Course Content ON (highlighted in purple) to generate questions drawn directly from your course material. Toggle it OFF to describe a custom topic in the text field instead.

• In the Describe what you want the new quiz question(s) to be about field, enter a topic or leave it as the default ("Generate more questions based on my course content.") when Use Course Content is on.

• Set the Number of new quiz questions using the number field.

• Click Generate Questions. The new questions will be added to your existing quiz.
