Why teams upgrade: value & ROI by plan

“We're selling our own courses” → Creator

Free watermarks your content, takes a commission on sales, and does not let you export a course. Creator removes the watermark, lets you keep 100% of your sales, and unlocks certificates and PDF, HTML and Dynamic SCORM export — so you can ship under your own name and hand learners something they can keep. The ROI is simple: a single retained sale usually covers the difference against losing a cut of every transaction.

“We want it to look like ours” → Pro

Pro is the branding and integration step. You get your own logo, colours and fonts across the portal, control of portal settings and the login screen, and a much larger AI allowance — 7,000 page credits a month against Creator's 500, plus custom AI video avatars.

It is also the plan that opens up delivery through someone else's system: LTI, SCORM import, and Self-Hosted SCORM. That last one matters more than it sounds — a self-hosted package runs standalone, so it keeps working offline, on closed networks, and after your subscription ends. Dynamic SCORM does not.

“We have a team and real learners to manage” → Pro + LMS

This is the most common team upgrade, and the biggest jump in what the platform does. Pro + LMS turns Coursebox into a full learning platform on your own domain, and adds the things you need once you are managing people rather than just publishing content:

• Learner and group management

• Learning pathways and gamification — points, badges and the leaderboard

• Resource library and calendar

• Announcements and the Q&A forum

• Advanced reporting and CSV export

• API access and the branded mobile app, both available as add-ons

Worth knowing: Pro and Pro + LMS include the same AI credit allowance. You are not upgrading for credits here — you are upgrading for the LMS.

On team size: every paid plan includes one admin seat, and you add more at any time without changing plan. Each extra seat also adds a full AI credit allowance, so a second admin doubles your credits as well as giving a second person somewhere to work. Learners never count as admins, and every plan supports unlimited learners.

“We're rolling out across the organisation” → Enterprise

For org-wide or compliance-driven rollouts, Enterprise adds SSO (a paid add-on, and only available here), multiple portals, a 99.9% uptime SLA, your choice of hosting region, a dedicated support contact, and AI capacity sized to your rollout. The value is operational: secure single sign-on for staff, reporting your stakeholders trust, and a supported rollout instead of a DIY migration.

Enterprise works differently from the plans above it. It is not bought online. Enterprise is sold under a signed agreement with a minimum 2-year initial term, and that is what makes MSAs, DPAs, SLAs, vendor security assessments and procurement support possible. Every other plan is self-serve: bought by card under our standard published terms.
