How can I sell monthly recurring memberships in Coursebox?

Plan requirement: Recurring memberships are sold through Groups, which are available on Pro + LMS and Enterprise. Compare plans.

You can charge people a monthly fee to join a Group, for example for premium content, webinars or a community. Members pay by card through Stripe and are billed monthly.

Before you start: link Stripe. See Managing Payment with Stripe, PayPal or Paystack. Until you do, the Group form shows To set membership fee, please setup your payments.

Set a monthly membership fee

  1. Select Groups from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Manage on the Group you want to charge for.

  1. Click the gear icon (⚙️) next to the access dropdown and select Edit.

  1. Enter the Membership fee (the monthly price, for example 29.00) and choose the currency.

  2. In Additional Tax, add any VAT or GST percentage, for example 10.00 for 10% GST.

  3. In Description, explain what members get for their subscription.

Example: Access to all premium training content, monthly webinars, downloadable templates, and discussion boards.

  1. Click Save.

  1. Set who can access the Group with the access dropdown under its description: Draft, Restricted or Public.

Once saved, the price shows as a Monthly membership badge under the Group's title. If the Group is Restricted, people who aren't members see a Subscribe option.
